Community resilience - bouncing back from natural disasters
Our customers are experiencing natural disasters that are more frequent, more intense and more disruptive than ever before, from the unprecedented bushfires of 2019/20 to back-to-back, record-breaking floods in the Hawkesbury.
We are working to build resilience into our network, to help protect your electricity supply against external hazards associated with climate change, and from increasing cyber-security threats. You can read here about how Endeavour Energy and other electricity networks are working to improve network resilience.
We think of resilience as the ability to anticipate, withstand, quickly recover and learn from disruptive events. But we want to hear about your lived experiences of these major disruptions. Understanding your experiences and your expectations will help us plan for a resilient network that works for you.
Please tell us how you have experienced power disruptions caused by extreme weather events. Please be sure to refer to the suburb or township you live in so we can carefully consider your feedback.
Thank you for your contribution!
